LE COTTAGE DE SOPHIE, a charming hotel with 6 rooms and suites, is located on the road between Sisteron and the hilltop village of Valernes in the Alpes de Haute Provence. It is a stone building surrounded by two hectares of nature, with breathtaking landscapes and a 360° view. All this just 4 km from the centre of Sisteron. The property can be hired for private use. Single-storey house with one floor. Swimming pool. Children under 7 not permitted. No rooms for people with reduced mobility.

For the well-being of our planet, and to save energy, we ask you to leave towels on the floor only if you wish to have them changed during your stay. Please also let us know if you would like us to change your sheets. Our reception and cleaning products are eco-labelled and/or have recyclable packaging. We have replaced plastic water bottles with carafes. Thank you for your contribution.

FRENCH ART DE VIVRE AND SIMPLICITY
Breakfast is a special time to continue enjoying the surroundings and prepare yourself for a day in great shape. We offer both savoury and sweet options, as well as fresh, locally sourced products, including our homemade fruit salad that everyone loves. €23/adult, €15/child. It is served outside on the terrace if the weather permits, otherwise in the lovely old-fashioned kitchen.
An à la carte drinks service is also available in our bar or via room service. A fridge stocked with cold drinks is available in the COTTAGE kitchen. The idea is that you can help yourself to whatever you like throughout your stay. Just make a note of the drinks you consume.
In evening, for a light snack in the shade of the plane trees, we offer a plate of fresh seasonal salad and vegetables, accompanied by a tasting platter with charcuterie, Hautes Alpes tourtons, goat's cheese and fig jam. €33/pers. drinks excluded.

From mid-April to mid-October, heated swimming pool
The 12 m x 4 m heated swimming pool, facing south, is available from May to the end of September. Additional towels are provided for your swimming sessions.
LE COTTAGE DE SOPHIE was created from the combination of a farm dating back to 1660 and a more recent goat farm. The reception area and open kitchen have taken their rightful place in what used to be the cheese dairy. This huge room invites you to share a moment of calm in a wonderfully convivial space. When the weather does not allow you to sit outside, breakfast and meals are served here.

The very large UPAIX suite is a little gem of space and serenity. With a view overlooking the pool, it offers all the comforts you could wish for: a lounge area, table, desk, large-screen TV, and a beautiful bathroom where the stone walls retain all their beauty. Three extra beds downstairs and on the mezzanine can accommodate up to three children or teenagers (aged 7 to 21).
