LE PATIO DE SOPHIE, a charming 3-star hotel with 12 rooms and suites in the Alpes de Haute Provence, on the Route Napoléon, is located in the historic district of Sisteron, at the foot of the majestic Citadelle overlooking the Durance valley.
Old village houses with floors and stairs. No lift or PRM room.
A small provençal palace with unusual architecture
The PATIO of SOPHIE, which has grown together from three old houses, is characterised by magnificent staircases, old carved doors, mosaics, tiles and beams, sometimes worthy of a small Provençal palace from 1001 nights. The evocative name of this little gem was chosen above all because of the courtyard, which is the most unusual feature of the house. It is flooded with light and provides access to pleasant living spaces, rooms and suites.
The PATIO de SOPHIE offers 12 comfortable rooms and suites from 26 to 44 m2, for overnight, weekend or weekday stays. As an interior designer, I wanted to create a trendy, warm and refined interior. I am delighted that you have a beautiful adventure in the heart of Sisteron and invite you to share beautiful and strong moments of life in the PATIO.
Creation, decoration, graphic design, photography, writing... these are my passions. I like to share them.I am in love with beauty, objects, materials and light.I live them. For me, photography is the privilege of being able to immortalise them. It sublimates them, captures eternity in a brief moment.The moment when the eye, the gaze stops.It is this moment that I want to pass on.To make the beautiful accessible, joyful, luminous. For the well-being of our planet, and to save energy, we ask you to leave towels on the floor only if you wish to have them changed during your stay. Please also let us know if you would like us to change your sheets. Our reception and cleaning products are eco-labelled and/or have recyclable packaging. We have replaced plastic water bottles with carafes. Thank you for your contribution.

Breakfast is a special time to continue enjoying the surroundings and prepare yourself for a day in great shape. We offer both savoury and sweet options, as well as fresh, locally sourced products, including our homemade fruit salad that everyone loves. €23/adult, €15/child.
The breakfast room invites you to start your day with a moment of calm and indulgence, between two chandeliers and décor combining exposed beams and stone walls. This room can also accommodate small group meetings, friends or families and/or professional gatherings.
An à la carte drinks service is also available in our bar or via room service. The PATIO lounge welcomes you during the day or in the evening for a moment of relaxation.

You will love the chic and timeless décor of our rooms, the smallest of which is 18 m² and the largest 44 m². All the comforts are there: beds, mattress toppers and soft blankets, French Jacquard towels, welcome products (shower gel, shampoo, cosmetics set, tissues), courtesy tray (kettle, tea, coffee, water jug), TV (some connected), free Wi-Fi, luggage rack, hangers, safe, extra pillows and blankets...
Room BAUME - bed 160x200 - 25 m2
The BAUME room, located on the first floor of the Patio, is a cosy little cocoon. The bed, set on a raised platform, makes you forget that this very old room has a sloping terracotta tile floor, which is part of its charm.
However, the BAUME room is not suitable for elderly people and/or those with mobility difficulties, precisely because of the platform.

The POMMIER room, located on the first floor, stands out for its high ceiling, antique terracotta tiles and brightness thanks to two very large windows. Its small bathroom is closed off by a modern sliding door, giving it a ‘workshop’ feel.

The MIEL room is located at the rear of the establishment. On the ground floor next to the lounge, this honey-toned room also features a black and white colour scheme, in homage to Miss Chanel. Its high ceilings, chandelier, modern bathroom, autumnal wallpaper and posters give it a timeless chic.

The LAVANDE suite is located at the rear of the hotel. On the first floor, combining shades of blue with trendy furniture, it offers all the comforts you need for a pleasant stay. You will appreciate the queen-size bed, the sitting area/extra bed for children up to 10 years old, the desk and, above all, the lovely little bathroom.

The BUECH suite, located on the 2nd floor, consists of a bedroom, a small lounge with an office area, and an extra bed for a child up to 16 years old. The terracotta tiles add a traditional touch, with brown, black, beige and white wall colours lending this suite warmth and charm.

However, the DURANCE room may not be suitable for elderly guests and/or those with mobility issues (high floor).

The CITADELLE room, unusual by nature, offers you an adventure between heaven and earth. Lying in bed, you can admire the Citadel of Sisteron. Separated by an XXL glass roof, the bathroom oscillates between modernity and traditional terracotta tiles. 5 m² shaded terrace.
However, the CITADELLE room may not be suitable for elderly people and/or those with mobility issues (high floor, narrow staircase).

The OLIVIER suite, located on the first floor, is full of cosy corners where you can relax: the entrance hall, the cosy lounge with office area and the bedroom with a king-size bed are complemented by a luxurious bathroom (two-seater balneotherapy/light therapy bath, extra-flat shower). The SOLO 2 room for 1 person, 20 m², is reserved for single travellers and/or business travellers. Located at the top of the Patio, it offers an unobstructed view of the Durance river. Its small bathroom has a shower, washbasin and toilet. Kitchenette with fridge, kettle and microwave. Blackout blind.
- Available for direct booking and during low season (October to end of May).
- However, the PATIO SOLO 2 room is not suitable for elderly guests and/or those with mobility issues due to the stairs.
